Katya Mir is a contemporary artist born in Novosibirsk, Russia, and based in Barcelona. She began drawing early as a way to process internal states, developing a practice that moves beyond language. For her, art is not a choice but a necessity. The only way to express what cannot be said.

Her work is based on the idea that reality is constructed through perception. It is defined by how a person sees, thinks and imagines. Space has no independent meaning, it takes form through the individual.

The figures in her work are not characters or stories but points, fragments of reality. She is not interested in explanation but in impact. Her works are built to unsettle perception and provoke a response that cannot be reduced to meaning.
